My goals for the site
The other night I was thinking deeply about what type of goals I want to achieve with the launch of the re-designed website for Volspiro. I sat and thought through about what are some of the most important accomplishments that would make me feel that the website re-design was a complete success.
One of the goals that keep popping up was that people who would visit the site would feel inspired! That they would engage and view the type of activities the site had to offer.
For instance, I created “The Inspirer of the Month” was two-fold.
- I wanted people around the world to be able to showcase someone who had inspired them to be a better person or show that there are amazing people doing good in the world. By doing this it would also give special recognition to those that are just doing this remarkable deed without expecting anything in return. They just want to help others.
- To have a site that people could go to for inspiration. Reading or watching stories of others that have made an impact on our world. No matter how large or small of an impact. As long as it helped or inspired at least one person. There are a lot of sites on the internet that show the worst in humanity. I want to show the best in humanity.
It goes hand-in-hand with the law of attraction. The law of attraction is a belief that whatever you think and focus has a higher chance of coming to fruition in your own life.
For instance, let’s say I wanted to become a successful artist. All my thoughts centered around creating a magnificent work of art. I envision this daily and put forth all my energy on how I can keep honing my craft. Always striving to learn more and become better every single day.
Staying positive and focused could very easily lead to me becoming successful as an artist. It’s more than just wishing something would happen.
It’s truly believing and envisioning that the type of success. You want to think of it as you’re a life-long student of your craft so that you can truly mastered it. I firmly believe in the 10,000-hour rule, it basically states if you must put in close to 10,000 hours to master your craft or particular skill. Does this guarantee success, not entirely. But, it does make your chances of becoming what you want, substantially more.
This is why “State Your Goals” was created. It is a forum where people of all backgrounds and walks of life could state their goals, their mantras, and anything they wanted to announce to the world. This helps makes the possibility of their goals more achievable and they can be supported by others in the community.
